Vireless Tolegraphy Station at Cape D'Aguilar..
In reply to your letter No. 1400/1910 of the 19th. instant, I have the honour to inform Your Excellency that the con- -trol of the Station by the Navy on mobilization which was stated in my letter of the 8th. iden to be desired, referred to the control and manning of the Station as a Port War Signal Station as
already provided for in the Hongkong Defence scheme; and that al- -though, if the Commercial Wireless Telegraphy Installation were
to remain in use, it is considered that the Navy should exercise a
general control over it as a part of the Signal Station, the Naval
authorities have no desire that it should remain, and therefore
would offer no objections to its being dismantled as required by
the Military authorities.
I have etc.,
(8d.) Robt. H. Anstruther,
Commodore.
His Excellency the Governor,
Hongkong.
